About United She Rises
Our Mission
United She Rises is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting women and their children as they transition from challenging or abusive relationships toward safety, stability, and independence. We provide essential resources such as temporary housing, counseling, legal aid, English lessons, motivational workshops, and job placement assistance through strategic partnerships. Our mission is to offer both immediate intervention and long-term growth opportunities, equipping women with the skills and support needed to rebuild their lives. Due to financial constraints, we are launching in two phases—starting with office-based support services and expanding into a full-service Safe Haven where women and their children can find refuge and empowerment. Our vision is a world where every woman has access to safety, independence, and the resources to thrive, free from violence and abuse.

In 2019, I was a young mother trapped in an abusive relationship. With nowhere to go, I reached out for help—but instead of support, I was met with judgment. Just when I felt completely hopeless, one message changed everything:

In 2019, I was a young mother trapped in an abusive relationship. With nowhere to go, I reached out for help—but instead of support, I was met with judgment. Just when I felt completely hopeless, one message changed everything:
"You can come to my house. I’m not going to charge you anything. Just come."
That message was from Lilian. She welcomed my baby and me into her home, asking for nothing in return. What began as an act of kindness became a true friendship—and today, we are family.
Together, Lilian and I created United She Rises so that no woman feels as alone as I once did. Our mission is simple: to provide the support, safety, and resources that every woman deserves when starting over.

From that experience, Carolina and I built United She Rises: a place where women in crisis can find real support, free from judgment. Because no woman should ever feel alone when trying to escape abuse. Currently fighting breast cancer while trying to make the world a better place.
